Almost the best sail of the year for me! I came down too late otherwise it would have been. I was having so much fun I just had to forget wifey and take the resulting mouthful as I was 1.5 hours late!

Launching at the golf carpark was easy so was sailing out till u meet the rollers. The sea was monster going out but you could definately go round them but coming back was like Tenerife (nearly) now the face between the wave and back up...great. Its so much easier gybing off wave faces when they are seperate, 5***** day.

Steve Q - I saw you rippig the flat bit in the river and I tried to get there but the wind was iffy on a outgoing tide.

When the tide went low the waves close to the carpark was superb but the bloody wind died a bit and I had only put a quid in the meter for 2 hours, and I had 0 minutes left! so I shot off to wifey. Rog Paul and some else stayed out when I left and I think Steve was still there.

Gripes - my boom slipped to my knees twice - not fun in that monster sea and those bloody lobster pots I hit the one without a ball twice!
